A Bit About Me
I am a Geographic Information System (GIS) professional and community advocate from Asheville, NC, with over five years of experience in spatial analysis, economic development, and social equity. Currently, I work as a GIS & Resilience Analyst at Fernleaf, where I analyze local government data for climate vulnerability and risk assessments. Additionally, I serve as a Virtual Executive Assistant at Neighborhood Evolution, where I manage client communications and coordinate projects to empower communities through small-scale development.
My experience includes working with small rural communities like Wimauma, FL, as well as multi-county regions, such as the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). Previously, I was a Geospatial Analyst at Urban3, where I translated complex data into accessible insights, enhancing community advocacy.
Beyond my professional work, I am a board member of the Town of Clyde’s Planning Board and secretary for the Western North Carolina Realtist, focusing on improving housing access and promoting affordable living in the region.
In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.
“As a first-generation college student raised in a Spanish-speaking household, and living under the federal poverty line, my experiences with gentrification and suburbanization have shaped my passion for addressing urban and rural development's social and financial drivers.”
