Secretary & Social Media Coordinator
As secretary and social media coordinator, I worked to increase our online presence and boost community engagement, leading events like the annual Realist Community Day in collaboration with neighborhood associations. Additionally, I represented the chapter at local, regional, and national levels, strengthening partnerships and advocacy efforts.
AboutWNC Realtist is a chapter of The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, (NAREB). The nation’s oldest minority trade association, with chapters across the nation, embracing and advancing our mission of promoting democracy in housing.

Board Member & Former Treasurer
Managed and oversaw a $130,000 budget, ensuring financial stability and strategic resource allocation. Collaborated with the executive director and board members to guide financial decision-making processes while effectively communicating the organization’s financial health to the board and staff through clear data visualizations. Supported fundraising efforts for key events, including "Just Brew It," enhancing the organization’s outreach and impact. Conducted in-depth research for the Better Buses and Living Wages committee, focusing on public transit funding shortfalls and Asheville's cost of living challenges.

Appointed to a 3-year term on the Planning Board for the Town of Clyde, contributing to land-use decisions and policy development. Actively participating in discussions and decision-making processes that impact the extraterritorial jurisdiction, ensuring balanced growth and representation of community interests.

The Town of Clyde Planning Board plays a crucial role in supporting the Planning Department by providing land use and zoning services to the citizens of Clyde. This assistance extends to the development of the Town, both within its corporate limits and in the extraterritorial jurisdiction. The Planning Department ensures that any changes to the community's physical environment align with applicable land development policies, rules, and regulations, fostering balanced growth and community well-being.
